Pictures of the concert with the Mesopotamia Ensemble at Düsseldorf 2012. Together with Raed Khoshaba (Arabic lute “Oud”), Hesen Kanjo (Arabic zither “Kanun”) and Abdelali Jasouli (percussion). This unusual combination animates a wide spectrum of human emotions – in a universal and easily accessible language that overcomes cultural barriers. The compositions of the quartet usually depart from classical Arabic melodies and rhythm, but are revived in a completely new way by improvisations and the addition of entirely different musical traditions.
